DeBorah L. McCampbell is the owner of Xplicit Hair Studio and the founder of Xplicit Hair Restoration - our hair loss and scalp wellness division, located in San Diego, CA. With over 30 years of experience as a licensed Cosmetologist and salon owner since 1999, Deborah has become one of San Diego’s most sought-after Natural Hair Care Specialists and Hair Loss Expert.
A natural coily hair girl herself, DeBorah understands the unique challenges of the natural hair journey. She is a lifelong learner, continually expanding her knowledge in science, scalp health, and holistic wellness to better serve her clients. She is known for providing healthy hair care services.

As a Board-Certified Trichologist, DeBorah specializes in hair loss, scalp disorders, and holistic hair restoration. She added this certification to her skills after seeing the growing need among women and children in the Black community who were suffering from hair loss. Known for her compassionate approach and deep understanding of natural hair, she helps women navigate thinning, shedding, hormonal hair loss, traction alopecia, CCCA, Alopecia Areata, inflammation, and overall scalp wellness.
With a lifelong passion for helping women, DeBorah uses her knowledge, humor, and empathy to educate and support clients on their healthy hair journey. Her goal is to help each client achieve optimal hair and scalp health through personalized education and targeted treatments that restore balance and encourage growth.
Her mission is simple: educate, empower, and restore. Through advanced scalp analysis, individualized treatment plans, and her signature C.R.O.W.N. Method®, DeBorah helps clients maintain healthy hair, prevent future damage, and rebuild confidence from the inside out.

DeBorah is also a Minister of the Word of God, Motivational Speaker, Best-Selling Author, and Certified Cosmetologist Business Coach. She is passionate about empowering women through education. She educates cosmetologists on hair loss awareness, how to earn more and work less behind the chair so they can do what matters most, and how to prepare for a prosperous retirement.
DeBorah attributes her path of success to God, her business knowledge from Corporate America, and the knowledge learned from other stylist and salon owners. To date, DeBorah continues to serve the Black, African American community and operates a successful salon.
